1979 Mustang INDY 500 PACE Car 5.0 4 SPEED
You are looking at a 2 owner 1979 Ford Mustang Indy 500 Pace
car with just over 64k original miles. This car has had the
same owner since 1981 and the car is in great overall
condition. The paint looks new and the INDY stickers are
perfect. As you can see in the photos this car looks
excellent. Always garaged, this car is void of any rust
issues and the recently overhauled 5.0 302 V8 purrs like a
kitten. It has less then 1000 miles on the refresh...
This car has excellent ownership and has always been
properly stored and covered. The car is not perfect as 64k
miles and 26 years might suggest but it is an excellent
overall example of what a 1979 ford mustang should be in the

THIS MUSTANG WAS ORIGINALLY A 4-CYLINDER TURBO CAR THAT
HAD ONLY 40,000 MILES ON IT BEFORE CONVERSION. THERE'S TOO
MUCH TO LIST BUT I WILL GIVE IT A SHOT. FIRST THING IT HAS
FRESH PAINT, CANDY TANGERINE. THE FRONT SUSPENSION: IT HAS
GRIGGS TUBULAR "K" MEMBER WITH TUBULAR CONTROL ARMS, FRONT
COIL OVER KIT WITH ADJUSTABLE CAMBER PLATE KIT AND A FLAMING
RIVERS MANUEL RACK AND PINION SET UP. THE REAR SUSPENSION:
IT HAS A 9-INCH FORD COMPLETE STRANGE BUILT REAREND WITH
4:57 GEARS AND 35 SPLINE AXLES WITH A SPOOL. IT HAS
ADJUSTABLE UPPER ARMS ON BACK WITH SOUTHSIDE LIFT BARS
AND HAS ADJUSTABLE REAR SHOCKS. FRAME HAS BEEN TIED TOGETHER
AND HAS an 8-POINT CAGE BUILT AROUND THE STOCK INTERIOR. THE
CAR HAS 4 WHEEL DISC BRAKES. STOCK GAS TANK HAS HAD A REAR
SUMP PUT IN IT AS SEEN IN PICTURES. BATTERY IS MOUNTED IN
REAR. ON THE FRONT END AND BACK IT HAS GOODYEAR EAGLE F1íS
245/45ZR17íS ON 17x9 COBRA R REPLICA WHEELS. THE CAR STILL
HAS THE FULL INTERIOR IN IT THE ONLY THING CHANGED WAS THE
INSTRUMENT PANEL I
MADE A CUSTOM PANEL TO HOLD THE GAUGES AND SWITCHES. ALL
GAUGES ARE AUTOMETER SPORT COMP 2 5/8, WHICH CONSIST OF FUEL
GAUGE, FUEL PRESSURE, OIL PRESSURE, WATER TEMP AND VOLTS. 5"
MONSTER TACH WITH SHIFT LIGHT. PAINLESS WIRING AND SWITCHES.
EVERYTHING IS WIRED AND WORKING EXCEPT BLINKERS WHICH I
DIDN'T GET AROUND TO HOOK UP. OK NOW TO THE ENGINE. IT IS A
FRESHLY BUILT. 030 OVER 351 CLEVELAND SOLID ROLLER MOTOR
WITH FLAT TOP PISTONS 4 BARREL HEADS CROWER STREET ROLLER
CAM PART #15480,ROLLER LIFTERS, SPRINGS AND IT HAS 1.8 RATIO
ROLLER ROCKERS AND IT HAS STUD GIRDLES.
THE INTAKE IS A BLUE THUNDER ALUMINUM HI-RISE WITH A
HOLLEY 660 4-BARREL SITTING ON TOP. IGNITION IS ALL MSD 6AL
BOX WITH MSD DISTRIBUTOR AND MSD BLASTER 3 COIL. IT HAS
CUSTOM BUILT CERAMIC COATED HEADERS THAT ARE ALL INDIVIDUAL
TUBES SIZE 2 1/8TH INCH PRIMARIES WITH 4 INCH COLLECTORS
THAT GO INTO 3 INCH PIPES TO DYNOMAX MUFFLERS. CANTON OIL
PAN EXTERNAL OIL LINE KIT TO FEED BACK OF MOTOR. MEIZURE
WATER PUMP, ATI BALANCER AND PETE JACKSON GEAR DRIVE.
MALLORY COMP SERIES 140 FUEL PUMP. THE WHOLE ASSEMBLY HAS
BEEN BALANCED AND DYNO'ED, ON
A REAL DYNO NOT SOME COMPUTER PROGRAM. IT ALL IS HELD IN
PLACE BY A SOLID FRONT ALUMINUM MOTOR PLATE AND MID PLATE.
TRANS IS A C6 FULL MANUEL REVERSE PATTERN VALVE BODY WITH JW
3400 STALL CONVERTOR. AND IT HAS A TURBO ACTION CHEETAH
SHIFTER. UP FRONT COOLING IT ALL IS A BE COOL ALUMINUM
RADIATOR WITH ELECTRIC FAN AND A TRANS
COOLER WITH ELECTRIC FAN.

Description: 1984 Ford Mustang 5.0 liter Four
barrel carb, Five Speed T-Top, A/C
1986 ford mustang 5 speed manual. It has been completely
restored. The guy I bought it from took it down to bare
frame and brought it back up. It has new paint, weld racing
rims, and tires. 60ís on the back. 165ís on the front.
Inside it has new carpet, headliner, and seats. Now for the
good part. The engine is a 302 bored 30 over with a complete
rebuild. Less then 3000 miles on rebuild. Itís full roller
rocker. Biggest cam ford made for it. It has a high output
fuel pump hooked to a 750 holly double pumper carb and 1986
ford mustang carpet HDI ignition and an auto meter tack with
a shift light. Built for street racing. VERY FAST!
